EHS Specialist

Missouri Smelting Technology (MOST), a Toyota Tsusho America Group Company, is seeking an EHS Specialist for the Troy, MO location. MOST is a secondary aluminum recycler that receives, processes, and melts aluminum to produce high quality molten and solid products for use by other industries, including the production of automobile parts.

What you will be doing:

• Administering environmental programs and ensuring compliance.

• Complete environmental recordkeeping requirements
• Advises affected plant team members of regulation requirements
• Conducts plant environmental audits, training and reporting
• Supports the site to ensure environmental objectives are achieved.

• Administers the onsite Health and Safety program

• Supports site to implement corporate safety objectives and goal
• Supports floor supervision for safe work practices
• Recommend/create work safety standards
• Executes Risk assessment and prevention activities
• Performs scheduled 5S patrols w/management
• Conducts incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Oversees the safety committee and kaizen program
• Ensures OSHA requirements are met
• Provides required annual Health and Safety Training

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor's degree in discipline
• 5+ years of directly related experience
• Strong knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety regulations and best practices
• ISO experience
• Detail oriented
• Ability to multitask including tracking and meeting multiple regulatory reporting timelines
• Excellent written/verbal communication
