Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend required with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Highlights:

• High-volume birthing center with over 300 births per month and an average of 20 births in 24 hours
• 2:1 patient ratios with double labor assignments occurring daily; 30-40 patient admits and 40 visits per day
• 13 to 26-week contract options available with no call requirement
• Epic EMR system with 24 hours of paid orientation
• Float may be required to Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit as needed
• Scrubs provided; interdisciplinary team support including pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; 3 years preferred
• Experience in high-volume birthing centers handling over 300 births per month is required
• Must be comfortable with fast-paced, high-acuity environments and double labor assignments
• Current NC or Compact RN license
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (or C-EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN)
• Skills required: circulate for C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, immediate newborn care, triage of obstetrical patients, IV insertion and maintenance
• First-time travelers accepted if experienced in similar high-volume settings
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
