We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a hospital in Reno, NV where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment, care, and needs of patients with cardiopulmonary conditions across the lifespan. This role supports critical care, adult and pediatric general care, and may include secondary care sites consistent with facility needs. Travel clinicians may be asked to float to meet organizational requirements up to their competency level.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Valid Nevada state respiratory license required. Candidate must apply for State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst license, Director of Point of Care, or General Supervisor of Point of Care prior to start.
• AHA BLS and ACLS required prior to start.
• Minimum 2 years acute care respiratory therapy experience required.
• Ability to perform respiratory therapy procedures for neonatal through geriatric patients and document care accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in high-volume, trauma/level II or stroke-accredited hospital settings.
• Previous experience with critical care and emergency department patient populations.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: rotating varied shifts, including 3x12s with rotating days of the week.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Call requirements to be discussed during interview; schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
• Travelers may be required to float to meet organizational needs up to their competency level.
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period.

As a health professional with this program, you will provide direct patient care in a high-volume regional hospital environment. The role contributes to improved cardiopulmonary outcomes through protocol-driven therapy, thorough patient assessment, and clear documentation. Clinicians are expected to maintain current knowledge of clinical applications and to practice with professional judgment and patient-centered communication.
