Join an established, collaborative team of 6 physicians and 4 APPs Call structure: 1:6 weekend call, mostly from home Practice setting: Outpatient Access to on-site Radiation Oncology, care navigation, embedded social work, and financial counseling Employed position within a nonprofit health system Fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration Exercise clinical autonomy by managing a rewarding, diverse panel of general hematology and oncology cases, with the full backing and resources of the institute to cultivate or maintain your specific subspecialty passions Provide expert clinical leadership and oversight for the Immunotherapy Clinic and chemotherapy infusion area, ensuring patient safety during treatments and serving as the immediate medical anchor for the nursing team during complex reactions or emergencies About the Facility 254 bed teaching hospital with connected Cancer Institute and two satellite sites in Columbia and Catonsville Serving a population of approximately 738,000 Integrated referral network Part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system Why Physicians Choose Ascension Physician-led, collaborative culture Long-term practice stability National network with local autonomy Mission-centered care rooted in service What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
