Central Washington Asphalt, Inc is hiring for a  Trucking Boss Driver in our Coeur d'Alene, ID location. The position will be responsible for working with our current team of CDL drivers to coordinate scheduling of on-time deliveries to meet the needs of our customers. Excellent organization and time management skills are a must. Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, managers and customers is essential to succeed in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 12 to 20 drivers including daily schedules, training and development and mentoring performance.
• Communicate with management and dispatch to ensure sufficient coverage to meet the changing needs of the business
• Dispatch drivers as necessary with consistent follow up to ensure productivity and a high level of customer service.
• Be available to team members to ensure consistent two-way communication to keep team on track and resolve problems quickly.
• Train new drivers on systems and protocols of position.
• Inspect paperwork daily for thoroughness and completion prior to submission.
• Maintain IFTA mileage documentation program
• Frequent job site visits to ensure safe delivery of product following all company safety guidelines.
• Ensure drivers complete daily safety checks of equipment following company guidelines. Notify management of any urgent or unresolved equipment issues.
• Available to work a flexible schedule which may include early morning hours or evening work.

Required Skills & Certifications

• Current Class A CDL license with a driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
• Experience with airbrakes and standard transmission.
• Excellent knowledge of all USDOT and FMCSA safety regulations.
• Ability to perform incidental work as may be necessary (i.e. vehicle maintenance, dispatching, batch plant maintenance).
• Strong communication skills to work with drivers, customers, management and dispatch.
• Must be able to problem solve. Able to devise solutions quickly and effectively.
• Physically demanding job. Must be able to lift heavy loads, load & unload equipment setting and moving equipment as necessary to complete tasks.
• In this position you will be working outside in all types of weather. Subject to extremely high and low temperatures and inclement weather. This is not a desk job.

Experience

• Broad experience with trucking operations and an understanding of the day to day driver experience.
• Previous management experience.
• Demonstrate experience as a hands-on supervisor.
• Experience with the Ready Mix industry is a plus.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Integra

Salary Range $29.00 - $35.00 DOE
