Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Friday 6:30 AM - 12:00 PM (no nights, no weekends)

About the role
KMG Healthcare is hiring an experienced Certified Medical Assistant for an immediate contract at an employer-sponsored onsite health center in Stuarts Draft, VA. The clinic provides primary care to a company's employees and their families. You'll work in a smaller, steady clinic setting rather than a high-volume practice. The job is a mix of hands-on clinical care and front-office work, and you'll be home by mid-afternoon Monday through Thursday, with Fridays ending at noon.

The assignment starts Monday, November 2, 2026, and runs through December 4, 2026. It may be extended.

What you'll do

• Room patients, take vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight), and document in the patient health record
• Perform venipuncture/phlebotomy and point-of-care lab testing
• Give medications, including injections, and run EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by Virginia regulations
• Prepare exam rooms and patients for visits; clean and sterilize instruments
• Keep medical supplies stocked and place supply orders
• Help at the front desk: check patients in and out, schedule appointments, and make follow-up calls
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Strong phlebotomy/venipuncture skills
• Current national Medical Assistant certification from one of these: AAMA (CMA), NCCT (NCMA), NCMA, or AMT (RMA)
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with a hands-on externship (fully online programs are not accepted)
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification with hands-on training (AHA, ARC, or equivalent)

Preferred

• Experience with point-of-care (POC) testing
• Experience with Epic EMR
