Part-Time Accountant Job Description Position: Part-Time Accountant Location: Richmond, KY Schedule: 15-20 hours per week (flexible) Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to support our accounting and finance operations. This role will assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Prepare financial reports and schedules Research and resolve accounting discrepancies Assist with audits and special projects Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company procedures Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 2+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations Proficiency in Excel and accounting software Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Skills Experience with month-end close Knowledge of GAAP principles ERP system experience a plus This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking a flexible schedule while maintaining meaningful involvement in accounting operations.
