All while understanding that together we are even better.Job DescriptionAdventHealth is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our growing Orthopedic and Pain Management team in Zephyrhills, Florida. This unique role provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with board-certified orthopedic surgeons and pain management specialists in the evaluation, treatment, and long-term management of patients experiencing musculoskeletal conditions, orthopedic injuries, chronic pain disorders, and spine-related conditions.ResponsibilitiesOrthopedic CareEvaluate patients presenting with acute and chronic orthopedic conditions.Perform comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and follow-up assessments.Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care for orthopedic surgical patients.Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies including laboratory tests, X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.Provide patient education regarding treatment options, recovery expectations, and injury prevention.Manage fracture care, joint disorders, sports injuries, arthritis, and other musculoskeletal conditions.Pain Management CareAssess patients experiencing acute, chronic, and complex pain conditions.Participate in the development of individualized pain treatment plans.Monitor patient outcomes and adjust therapies as appropriate.Educate patients on medication management, procedural interventions, lifestyle modification, and alternative therapies.Coordinate care with specialists, primary care providers, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.Assist with office-based procedures and follow-up care related to pain management services.General Clinical DutiesDocument patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.Maintain compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulatory requirements.Support patient-centered care while ensuring exceptional patient experience and satisfaction.QualificationsRequiredMaster's from an accredited Physician Assistant program.Current Florida PA-C license.National board certification as a PA-C.Current BLS certification.Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Orthopedics, Pain Management, Spine, Sports Medicine, Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or related specialty.Compensation & BenefitsAdventHealth offers a competitive compensation package including:Competitive base salaryComprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement savings plan with employer matchMalpractice coverageAll the benefits and perks you need for you and your family:Benefits from Day One: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability InsurancePaid Time Off from Day One403-B Retirement Plan4 Weeks 100% Paid Parental LeaveCareer DevelopmentWhole Person Well-being ResourcesMental Health Resources and SupportPet BenefitsSchedule:Full timeShift:Day (United States of America)Address:7050 GALL BLVDCity:ZEPHYRHILLSState:FloridaPostal Code:33541Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.Applicants may review general information about Florida's background screening requirements at the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
