Group Copy Supervisor

Group Copy Supervisor, Market Access | US Remote

We are seeking a Group Copy Supervisor to join a growing healthcare communications team within an independent, fast-paced agency environment. This role is ideal for an experienced healthcare copywriter who still enjoys being hands-on with content development whilst also taking on leadership responsibilities across a small team of writers and freelancers.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality scientific and promotional content across multiple accounts, partnering closely with strategy, account management, medical, and creative teams to ensure strong, insight-driven execution across deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Copy Leadership & Content Development

• Lead the development of high-quality healthcare copy across multiple accounts, ensuring scientific accuracy, clarity and alignment with brand strategy

• Deliver hands-on copywriting across HCP-focused materials including detail aids, leave behinds, email campaigns, digital banners, journal ads, training materials and congress assets

• Support the development of launch and lifecycle brand materials across pre-launch and post-launch phases

• Ensure all content is compliant, scientifically accurate and aligned with regulatory and medical/legal requirements

• Maintain a strong understanding of healthcare audiences and adapt tone and messaging accordingly

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with account, strategy, medical and project management teams to deliver integrated campaign solutions

• Contribute to creative and strategic discussions, helping shape concepts into strong, execution-ready copy

• Collaborate with medical and scientific stakeholders to ensure content integrity and accuracy

• Support client relationships through strong delivery and responsiveness

Team Leadership & Mentoring

• Supervise and mentor junior writers, providing clear feedback and supporting their development

• Oversee workload allocation and ensure consistent quality across all copy output

• Work with freelance writers when required to support delivery across peak workload periods

• Help maintain high creative standards and consistency across accounts

Client & Project Delivery

• Support the delivery of multiple concurrent projects across different therapeutic areas and accounts

• Manage timelines and priorities effectively within a fast-paced agency environment

• Ensure all deliverables meet client expectations in terms of quality, tone and scientific accuracy

• Support pitch and new business work when required

Ideal Profile

• Heavy experience within healthcare advertising or medical communications agencies

• Strong hands-on copywriting experience across HCP-focused materials and omnichannel campaigns

• Proven ability to lead, mentor or supervise junior writers or freelancers

• Experience working across launch and/or established pharmaceutical brands

• Strong collaboration skills with account, strategy and medical teams

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution

• High attention to detail with strong scientific and regulatory understanding

• Comfort working in fast-moving, collaborative agency environments
