Certified Medical Assistant

The Certified Medical Assistant will provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers while ensuring a positive patient experience. This role will involve patient rooming, clinical procedures, documentation, phone communication, and assisting clinicians in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Position Details

Location: Banning, CA 92220

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $ 24.34/hr.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Travel: No regular travel required; occasional work at another location during the same shift may be possible

Key Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients according to established ACE standard work procedures.

• Obtain and document patient information and assist with maintaining accurate medical records.

• Answer and make patient phone calls and assist with routine patient inquiries.

• Complete paperwork, faxes, and electronic in-basket tasks.

• Assist clinicians with examinations, procedures, and patient care.

• Administer injections as directed and within appropriate scope of practice.

• Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) .

• Perform and assist with EKGs .

• Complete and maintain quality control (QC) logs and documentation.

• Support daily clinical and administrative workflow.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and organizational policies.

• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience .

• Medical Assistant certification.

• Current BLS certification .

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Epic EMR .

• Experience working in a physician practice or outpatient clinic.

• Familiarity with POCT, EKGs, injections, and clinical documentation.

• Strong knowledge of front-office and clinical Medical Assistant functions.
