What you’ll do: The Research Assistant I will support clinical research activities within the Department of Neurological Surgery. Responsibilities include preparing research submissions for the Institutional Review Board (IRB), maintaining databases, collecting and analyzing data, administering surveys, and assisting with conference materials and manuscripts. The role involves patient interaction, performing statistics and lab experiments under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), conducting literature reviews, and maintaining research supplies. The Research Assistant is expected to present his or her work at departmental conferences. Candidates must ensure safety compliance and contribute to a culture of service excellence and teamwork. Required Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret data Ability to communicate verbally Ability to deal calmly and courteously with people Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner Ability to follow oral and written instructions and established procedures Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency Ability to maintain confidentiality Compensation: Pay Range: $15.76 – 22.11 per hour Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
