2027 Operations Cancer Diagnostics Intern

Abbott seeks an operations intern for its Cancer Diagnostics division in Madison, Wisconsin. The role involves supporting laboratory equipment installation, maintenance, and qualification while contributing to process improvement initiatives within a regulated healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with equipment installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance tasks
- Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows and documenting inefficiencies
- Collect, analyze, and visualize operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Maintain accurate service records and project documentation meeting regulatory compliance standards
- Prepare reports and presentations communicating findings to internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Enrolled in Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering-related field
- Minimum 1 year completed toward Associate's or 2 years toward Bachelor's degree by start date
- Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
- Experience in regulated environments (ISO, FDA, CLIA) preferred
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience preferred
- System calibration experience preferred
Compensation: $16.85–$33.75/hour
