As a General & Bariatric Surgical APP, you'll provide comprehensive care to patients throughout their surgical journey, from initial consultation and preoperative evaluation to postoperative recovery and long-term follow-up. Working collaboratively with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams, you'll assess, diagnose, and manage patients undergoing general and bariatric surgical procedures, assist in developing treatment plans, provide patient education, and support care coordination. You'll contribute to optimizing surgical outcomes, enhancing patient experience, promoting healthy lifestyle changes, and helping patients achieve their weight loss and overall health goals through compassionate, evidence-based care.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of general surgery and bariatric surgery principles and practices.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to manage patients across the surgical continuum of care.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation.

Education:

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program [Required].

Work Experience:

• 1+ years of related work experience

Licenses and Certifications:

• Current and unrestricted state licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) [Required].
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [Required].
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification [Preferred]
