GM Automotive Diesel Technician Up to $50/Hour

Modern Automotive is seeking an experienced GM Automotive Diesel Technician to join our growing service team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled diesel technician looking to build a long-term career with a fourth-generation, family-owned automotive group.

GM Diesel Technician Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel-powered GM vehicles.
Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
Diagnose and repair diesel engine, fuel, electrical, emissions, and drivetrain systems.
Utilize diagnostic equipment and manufacturer service information to accurately identify concerns.
Perform quality repairs efficiently and accurately.
Complete repair orders with detailed documentation of work performed.
Communicate effectively with service advisors and management regarding vehicle concerns and needed repairs.
Stay current on GM technology, systems, and repair procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience as an automotive diesel technician required.
GM experience preferred.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to diagnose and repair complex diesel systems.
ASE certifications are a plus.
GM certifications are a plus.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
Must be committed to quality repairs and exceptional customer service.
