Job Details Department/Unit: Med/Surg ICU - D3N Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $93,184.00 Responsibilities Implements physician orders and administers medications Starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documents treatment per company policy and regulatory requirements Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care rendered Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintains professional nursing standards Qualifications Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree) Current NYS Registered Nurse license Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Minimum 1‑3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med‑Surg or Progressive Care Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time‑management skills Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem‑solving tools and the ability to apply them in departmental and patient care quality improvement Policy and Compliance This role may require access to information considered sensitive to Albany Med Health System, its patients, affiliates, and partners, including but not limited to HIPAA Protected Health Information and other information regulated by Federal and New York State statutes.
