Description

• Assess clients of various age groups, from children to seniors, employing standardized testing and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans aimed at both immediate objectives and long-term communication and cognitive goals.
• Provide personalized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language skills, fluency, voice functionality, and swallowing difficulties.
• Collaborate with a network of professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to establish integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to ensure continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Incorporate occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Keep precise and timely documentation in line with state and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and knowledge-sharing with colleagues to stay abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
