Position Details:

• Full Time- Monday - Friday work schedule; rotating weekend trauma call
• Assist the neurosurgeon and orthopedic spine surgeons in the OR.
• Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments
• Manage patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families.
• Plan treatment and document using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Requirements:

• Texas licensed & Board-Certified Physician Assistant
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in neurosurgery, spine and trauma care preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• The Physician Assistant ("PA") will be licensed as a physician assistant in the State of Texas and maintain such license in good standing at all times.
• Master's degree Physician Assistant required.
• The PA will report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director and will be responsible for meeting CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure.
• The PA's duties and responsibilities apply to the THPG patient population and assigned setting only.
