Pay Range: $165.42 - $190.23
Union: Yes for Weekend & Holiday Shifts; No for On-Call Shifts
Job Description: Olympic Medical Physicians' hospitalist team serves Olympic Memorial Hospital in Port Angeles, on Washington State's beautiful North Olympic Peninsula. The OMP Hospitalist service seek team-oriented Internal Medicine Physicians to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation and care to adult patients presenting with inpatient-level medical problems. Highlights of the practice include:
- 7-on, 7-off schedule, occasionally different hours may be required
- Integration and leadership in a multi-disciplinary team devoted to hospital medicine
- Ready access to local consultants as part of a large multispecialty group
- Integrated electronic healthcare record system (EPIC) with local and regional hospital systems
The successful Hospitalist Physician at OMP is focused on providing excellent person-centered care to rural patients as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Education
- Medical degree from an accredited school.
- Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA), approved postgraduate training program in Internal Medicine.
- Successful completion of requirements of the ABIM board for certification in internal medicine.
- Maintains appropriate continuing medical education credits per Washington State and OMC Medical Staff requirements.
Experience
- Completion of internal medicine residency.
- Two years of practice in hospital medicine, preferred.
Licensure/Credentials
- Board certified or active participant in the examination process leading to certification in Internal Medicine and area of sub-specialty (if any). Recertifies at appropriate intervals per specialty board requirements.
- Maintains an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington.
- Maintains current DEA registration.
- Maintains current ACLS certification.
- Maintains appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff.
