APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Sterling Heights, MI looking to add a Quality Director to their already amazing team.  Their primary responsibility will be to manage quality operations, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement to ensure zero defects.  Keep reading for more details!

What your day will look like:

1. Oversee daily operations of the Quality department, including supervision of quality technicians and support staff
2. Review and approve purchase orders (POs) and process routers to ensure compliance
3. Serve as the primary contact for customers, addressing and resolving quality issues effectively
4. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on achieving zero defects and improving customer quality ratings
5. Conduct organization-wide training and manage testing/certification for special process personnel
6. Plan, coordinate, and manage internal and external audits (customer and process)
7. Maintain quality documentation to ensure compliance with risk management and continuous improvement standards
8. Lead internal and customer root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and maintain the CAR log
9. Track, measure, and analyze quality objectives; initiate action when goals are not met
10. Record, monitor, and manage customer feedback, including compliments and complaints

What we are looking for:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field 
2. 10+ years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Manager within the Automotive, Aerospace, or related industry
3. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Aerospace Industry standards and audits
4. Strong expertise in IATF 16949 and AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements
