About the Clinician's Workday

The hematologist/oncologist will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology coverage during day shifts with call responsibilities at a 1:4 ratio, managing 10-15 patients per day in the outpatient setting and variable inpatient volume limited to patients admitted for inpatient chemotherapy. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and managing hematologic and oncologic conditions across both inpatient and outpatient settings. New consults average 10-15 per assignment period, and clinicians must maintain thorough documentation through the facility's electronic medical record system for all patient encounters and treatment planning activities. Board certification in Medical Oncology is required for this assignment.
