About the Role

\n

\n

A growing beverage business is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead primary packaging development for ready-to-drink products. This role focuses on aluminum cans, glass bottles, and PET multiserve bottles, from material selection and design through production scale-up.

\n

\n

Responsibilities

\n

\n

\n
• Develop and improve beverage packaging for product quality, shelf stability, cost, and manufacturability.
\n
• Select and test materials, components, closures, and labels; maintain packaging specifications.
\n
• Support packaging scale-up and troubleshoot production issues involving can seams, glass, PET bottles, closures, and labels.
\n
• Partner with Product Development, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, and packaging suppliers.
\n
• Keep current with packaging technologies, food-contact requirements, and industry standards.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
\n
• 5+ years of packaging engineering experience in beverage, food, or consumer goods.
\n
• Hands-on experience with aluminum cans, glass bottles, and PET bottles.
\n
• Knowledge of can seaming, filling and capping, stretch blow molding, closures, and high-speed packaging lines.
\n
• Familiarity with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, or PPAP.
\n
• Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
