Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify patients’ emotional, social, and financial needs, ensuring tailored care plans.
• Collaborate with medical teams to create and implement holistic treatment plans that reflect the unique needs of each patient.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address issues such as emotional adjustment, grief coping, and behavioral modification.
• Develop and coordinate discharge plans that facilitate smooth transitions post-treatment, connecting patients with community support services.
• Engage with family members, offering education about treatment options and resources to empower their support in the recovery journey.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and offer insights related to social work, ensuring a unified approach to patient care.
• Document patient interactions and treatment progress in accordance with hospital policies and legal compliance, utilizing electronic health records effectively.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to patients facing acute stress or emotional distress during their stay.
• Actively engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient satisfaction and treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Detox Center primarily serves individuals grappling with substance use disorders, ranging from alcohol dependency to opioid addiction. These patients often encounter significant emotional and social challenges that impact their recovery. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active Florida state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting, particularly with clients facing substance use challenges.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, crisis intervention techniques, and addiction-related therapies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and families.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in detox or rehabilitation settings.

Compensation and Benefits
