Emish Market is a Ukrainian grocery store located in Fife, WA, offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. In addition to our market, we operate a full-service café, bakery, and meat department, preparing fresh Ukrainian dishes, pastries, and specialty meats daily. Our mission is to create a warm, authentic, and memorable experience for every guest.We are currently seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our café team. This role is essential in delivering outstanding service, preparing quality beverages, and ensuring a smooth café experience for every guest. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and loves interacting with people.What You'll DoPrepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and other café beverages according to recipes and quality standardsGreet customers, take café orders, and process payments accuratelyDeliver completed orders to customers in the café dining areaAssemble, pack, and hand off online and take-out ordersMaintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and service areaFollow food safety and sanitation procedures at all timesMonitor inventory of café supplies and notify management when items run lowSupport team members during busy periods and help maintain efficient workflowProvide friendly, welcoming, and professional customer serviceWork Schedule: Wed - Sun: 3:30 pm - 12:30 amPay & Compensation: $18 per hour + tipsBenefits:1 hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked$2 extra per hour worked on Sundays1 week paid vacation after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2 yearsRequired QualificationsMinimum 1 year of barista or food service experience requiredStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentComfortable using POS systems and handling cash/card paymentsAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbsReliability, punctuality, and strong teamwork skillsAvailability to work weekends and evening shifts
