Phlebotomist

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Round Rock, Texas location to perform blood collections, process specimens, and provide patient care. The position involves venipuncture and capillary draws across all age groups, with a standard Monday-Friday schedule and potential weekend flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and other diagnostic purposes
• Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately and timely
• Prepare specimens for testing and process billing information and payments
• Provide customer service and perform administrative duties as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification from accredited agency or equivalent clinical training
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• One or more years phlebotomy experience in clinical or hospital setting (preferred)
• Experience working with pediatric through geriatric patient populations (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working independently with minimal supervision
