Molding Machine Operator - 2nd Shift Launch Your Manufacturing Career with a Stable Industry Leader

Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy working with machines? We are seeking a Molding Machine Operator to join our growing manufacturing team on 2nd shift. In this role, you'll operate and support molding equipment used to produce high-quality components that help power critical electrical infrastructure across the country.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with injection molding, plastics manufacturing, machine operation, production, or mechanical experience who are looking for a long-term opportunity with room to grow.

• Set up molds, tooling, and production equipment for daily manufacturing operations.
• Operate molding machines while monitoring quality and production output.
• Identify and troubleshoot common production issues to keep operations running smoothly.
• Perform mold changes, cleaning, lubrication, and basic preventative maintenance.
• Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Use measuring tools and visual inspections to verify product quality.
• Complete production documentation and quality records.
• Partner with maintenance and production teams to resolve equipment concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Follow all quality, safety, and production procedures.

• Experience operating molding equipment, manufacturing machinery, or production equipment.
• Background in injection molding, plastics manufacturing, ceramic casting, extrusion, blow molding, or related industries preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

• Mold setup and changeovers.
• Preventative maintenance or equipment adjustments.
• Quality inspections and documentation.
• Fast-paced manufacturing or production environments.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment experience.

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Overtime available based on production needs.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role in a fast-paced production facility. Employees work with molding equipment, tooling, and production machinery in a team-oriented environment. The facility is not climate controlled, and temperatures may become warm during summer months. Safety, training, and quality are top priorities, and employees are encouraged to develop new technical skills while advancing their careers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
