Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Tulsa, OK where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role requires delivering intensive respiratory care, operating and maintaining ventilatory equipment, performing diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures, and collaborating with physicians and the care team to optimize patient outcomes. Minimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program. Current Oklahoma state respiratory therapist license in good standing. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Minimum one year experience as an RRT. Clinical experience with ventilator management and ventilator weaning required. BLS certification required. ACLS required or ability to obtain when required by the facility. Experience with invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, arterial blood gas collection (arterial puncture), oximetry and capnography monitoring. Competence in procedures including suctioning, tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube insertion/removal, chest tube and PleurX management, bronchoscopy assistance, and basic arrhythmia recognition/12-lead EKG performance. Ability to perform pulmonary function studies (NIF, VC, etc.) and routine chest x‑ray review per policy. Demonstrated documentation accuracy for respiratory therapy records and charge entry. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting or trauma center. Experience with ventilator equipment setup, maintenance, and preventative repair processes. Previous work in moderate complexity laboratory environments with specimen handling experience. Assignment Details Night shift schedule: 3x12. Must be able to provide intensive respiratory care including transport of patients into and out of the facility as needed.
