Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Medical Surgical Nursing will serve on a Medical Surgical Floor located in Fairfield, Iowa. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role emphasizes guiding patient education and supervising ancillary staff to ensure adherence to professional nursing standards.

Job Details:

• Position: Medical Surgical Nurse
• Location: Fairfield, Iowa
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with current Iowa RN license. BLS & ACLS certification required through the American Heart Association. Experience preferred but not required.
• Certifications & Requirements:
  • Valid Iowa RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
  • Immunizations including MMR, Varicella or titer, Polio, Hepatitis B (titer or declination), TDaP, and Flu vaccination during flu season
  • Negative 2-step Mantoux test within 1 year or QuantiFERON Gold with proof of positive result and chest x-ray
  • Physical within 1 year of start date
  • 10 Panel Drug Screen within 1 month of start date
  • Respiratory Fit Test within 1 year of start date
  • Criminal Background check covering all states where licensed or worked in the past 7 years, within 30 days of start date
  • National &/or State Sex Offender GSA (EPLS) and Sam.gov checks within 30 days of start date
  • OIG-Date check within 30 days of start date
  • Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates (Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse)
  • Completion of CareLearning education modules prior to start date
