A pharmacy professional opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist in Philadelphia, PA, offering a contract-to-hire position. This role involves overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring the accurate dispensing and handling of prescription orders while maintaining compliance with legal and safety standards.

Key responsibilities include supervising fulfillment personnel during shifts, assisting with shipping and handling prescription orders as needed, and ensuring prescriptions are processed precisely in line with prescriber and patient requests. The pharmacist will provide patient care by evaluating patient demographics and medication histories, developing individualized therapeutic care plans, and monitoring drug therapy for efficacy and safety. Patient counseling on both prescription and over-the-counter medications, as well as nutritional supplements, is an integral part of this position.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8-hour shifts within 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Qualifications:

• Current PA Pharmacist license is required
• Minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and accurate documentation techniques
• Demonstrated ability to develop patient care plans and provide thorough counseling
