Enterprise GIS Support Specialist

THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITIONThe ideal candidate would possess the following specific skills/experience:Expertise in Esri's applications and software including: Utility Pipeline Database Model (UPDM), Utility Network (UN), ArcPro, Enterprise, Portal, ArcGIS Online, Web Dashboard and Experience Builder, Esri Field MapsProgramming Language: Esri Arcade and PythonOperation and Mobile ApplicationsAutoCadSQL ServerSAP ExperienceConstruction Management Application experience such as LocusView.Primary Duties1. Create presentations and workflow diagrams for GIS processes and results2. Support and troubleshoot business users with GIS Applications3. Develop project plans in collaboration with other stakeholders4. Effectively communicates related GIS initiatives to other stakeholders5. Consults with end users to create documentation relating to the program definition, development, business requirements. Documentation includes software objectives, deliverables, and end user specifications.6. Analyzes test results, formulates modifications, and implements solutions to problem areas7. Prepares and writes reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process.8. Trains end users to operate new or modified programs.9. Conducts research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.10. Works with external vendors to assure efficient implementation of software products or systems.11. Keeps abreast of new and changing technological advances in program languages, utilities, tools and client/server technology to assure achievement of optimum results.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related field and five years related experience performing complex geospatial analysis and providing mapping solutions in the Gas Utilities or Energy SectorCertified GISP preferredEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related field and five years related experience performing complex geospatial analysis and providing mapping solutions in the Gas Utilities or Energy SectorCertified GISP preferredCOMMUNICATION SKILLS:Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical or other complex concepts to individuals with little or no experience or knowledge of the technical area.NUMERIC SKILLS:Requires the ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric, and geometric operations, analyses involving ratios, percentages and moderately complex statistical and/or accounting methods.COMPUTER SKILLS:Requires a very high level of computer skills to use and/or understand various programming languages for writing, modifying, and executing programs.Expertise in GE Smallworld/ Gas Distribution Office, Esri Utility Pipeline Database Model (UPDM), Utility Network (UN), Esri ArcPro, Esri Enterprise, Portal, ArcGIS Online, Esri Web AppBuilder, Esri Field Operation and Mobile Applications, SQL ServerSAP ExperienceConstruction Management Application experienceWORK CONDITIONS:Works in an office environment. May on occasion work in an outdoor environment for field site visits.
