Fishing Sales Outfitter

Position Summary The Sales Outfitter performs various selling and customer service activities, including greeting customers promptly and friendly, handling merchandise with care, providing information and assistance, and directing customers to products. Essential Functions Support a strong commitment to world‑class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. Demonstrate products to customers and provide recommendations based on their needs. Replenish product on shelves as required by merchandising guidelines. Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training and remain knowledgeable of advertised sales, pricing, and signing. Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves and restock merchandise as required. Keep work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies. Follow all company policies and procedures. Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In‑Store Pick‑up. Complete any other duties as assigned. Experience / Qualifications High school education or equivalent experience. Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change. Effective communication skills in a friendly and professional manner with customers and coworkers. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with management and colleagues. Proficiency in operating a computerized point‑of‑sale register system. Physical Requirements Constantly stand and/or walk during shift. Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps. Occasionally repeat wrist, hand, or finger motions. Occasionally operate machinery or power tools. Occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment. Move objects up to 20 pounds regularly; occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with team lift. Occasionally work in tight spaces and noisy environments. Independent Judgment Perform tasks under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Make decisions from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Provide recommendations to improve work procedures, policies, and practices. Pay & Benefits Starting pay rate: $17.00 – $19.75 hourly (part time).
