In this role, you will manage inbound and outbound material flow to ensure the timely and efficient movement of material to activity points along the material flow path. You will perform activities to ensure material is received, stored, or delivered safely and efficiently to POU (Point-of-Use).What you can look forward to in this role:Warehouse storage design & manufacturing point-of-use (POU) design Machinery & equipment design and procurement Workforce & equipment planning Coordinating with engineering, manufacturing operations, and supply chain functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.Inventory transfer & rearrangement planning. Maintaining the internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools; Assuring their implementation in current and new operationsEvaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concernsCollaborating with team members both within and outside of supply chain in shop & office environmentsA successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.Top Candidates for this position may also have:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and/or Mechanical EngineeringExperience in Supply Chain / Logistics or Transportation Management Material distribution & material handling equipment experienceWorking understanding of the various materials systems and how they interrelateKnowledge of CPS (Caterpillar Production System)SAP experienceAdditional Information:The primary location for this position is Brooklyn Park, MN.Domestic relocation assistance is not availableSponsorship is not availableSummary Pay Range:$89,210.00 - $133,810.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
