Position Overview

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its established Hospital Cardiology team. The APP will work alongside board-certified cardiologists and experienced Advanced Practice Providers, delivering high-quality inpatient cardiology care.

This is a primarily night-shift position focused on cardiology consults and follow-up patients. New graduates are encouraged to apply, while candidates with cardiology and/or critical care experience are preferred.

Schedule

• Primarily overnight coverage totaling 40 hours per week
• Typical shifts include:
• 6:00 PM-8:00 AM
• 8:00 PM-8:00 AM
• Occasional weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Weekend day shifts: 8:00 AM-8:00 PM
• Holiday shifts: 8:00 AM-8:00 PM or 8:00 PM-8:00 AM
• Average of 8-12 cardiology consults per night, plus follow-up patient management

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage inpatient cardiology consults
• Perform follow-up assessments and ongoing patient management
• Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary care teams
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based cardiac care
• Participate in scheduled night, weekend, and holiday coverage

Qualifications

• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• Current Board Certification
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Cardiology and/or critical care experience preferred
• New graduates welcome to apply
