Barista (Part-Time) - Hospital Café | Location: Fresno Metropolitan Area

Compensation: $23.25 per hour DOE | Part-Time

Job Summary

As a hospital Barista , you’ll provide friendly, efficient service to patients, visitors, and staff by preparing and serving coffee, beverages, and light food items. You’ll maintain a clean and welcoming café environment, follow food safety standards, and ensure timely service in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with hospital staff to support a positive experience for all guests.

What You'll Do

• Operate a cash register with an accuracy of 99.85% (plus or minus). 
• Prepare handcrafted coffee and espresso beverages following recipes and quality standards.
• Educate guests on menu offerings and help them find the right selections.
• Stock and maintain coffee bar supplies, beverages, and service areas.
• Support meal service preparation and ensure products are ready for guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace.
• Follow workplace standards, food safety practices, and service schedules.
• Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming, efficient dining experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring

• High School Diploma/GED
• 6 months previous experience in a customer service role
• ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card 
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Physical and Sensory Requirements

• This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
