Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - Centra Health.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: - Required certifications and licensure cannot expire within 30 days of the potential start date to apply.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained. - Limited RTO; all RTO must be included at time of submission.

Unit Details: - Charge responsibility may be required. - General medicine Med Surg/Tele patient population includes GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/stroke, A-fib, hypertension, sepsis, and vascular issues. - Ancillary support includes phlebotomy, EKG techs, CNAs, central materials for pumps/equipment, and a supply room on the floor for most supplies. - Teaching hospital environment with frequent interaction with students and new hires.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers float first and may be asked to float to sister campus VBH.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
