Job Summary 

The Associate Buyer is responsible for supporting the buying and allocation of products across multiple categories. This role is critical in ensuring that all stores and eCommerce sites have the right products in the right quantities to successfully support both in-season replenishment and the long-term brand merchandising strategy.

Examples of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide Weekly Reporting and analysis focusing on product performance, sales targets, and inventory health across all categories for mainline and 3rd party product.
• Review and Execute Weekly Store Replenishment Needs to maximize sales and ensure product availability.
• Rank styles based on historical and current product performance to identify opportunities and redundancies within the product assortment.
• Manage weekly reporting and seasonal buys with a focus on replenishment for DTC, Retail, and Licensed partners. 
• Partner with the Merchandising Planning team to develop balanced investment and inventory strategies for the Retail channels.
• Support the Retail Buying Manager with business strategies, including OTB management, style and product management, promotional strategies, and the visual product presentation of the seasonal assortment for both DTC/Retail.
• Manage the life cycle of purchase orders, including the ability to reconcile and report out receipts on a weekly basis.
• Create and maintain complete and accurate details for all styles; meticulously record all changes communicated by the Production and/or Merchant teams.
• Work closely with Production, Sales Ops + Customer Service + Warehouse/DC teams to manage and pre-distribute purchase orders as needed prior to picking for any short shipments or re-allocation requirements.
• Collaborate closely with other Buyers/Merchandisers, and Planners to ensure a seamless cross-channel experience for the customer.
• Participate in weekly / bi-weekly in-store meetings with So Cal Store Managers to review sales performance, solicit business feedback, and discuss local support and improvement strategies.

Primary Focus

• Providing accurate, detailed weekly reporting and performance summaries for weekly TB with retail management teams.
• Review + Execute all weekly store replenishment needs to maintain optimal stock levels.

• Highly Detailed & Flexible
• Analytical & problem-solving skills
• 1-3 years of experience in planning/buying in the retail industry 
• Bachelor’s Degree

• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead and motivate teams. They should also be able to influence and negotiate with others. 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. They should also have strong presentation.
• Strong project management skills. 

Physical Requirements: 

• This position requires frequent use of a computer, mouse, and keyboard. 
• Frequent sitting. 
• Occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping. 
• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. 
• Must be able to travel to local So Cal retail stores .
