The Physical Therapist I provides physical therapy and wellness services to patients and clients who have impairments, functional disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes. Moreover, this employee helps patients and clients restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. The Physical Therapist I collaborates with healthcare teams that include physicians, occupational therapists, and psychologists.CORE JOB FUNCTIONSEvaluates new patients, establishes goals, and develops appropriate treatment plans.Documents all evaluations, treatments, and other pertinent patient interactions on a daily basis.
