Responsibilities Build relationships with customers via in-person, appointment, and virtual channels, providing tailored counsel with a digital-first mindset. Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs; obtain and process customer and account information. Educate clients on deposit and loan products and recommend solutions aligned with their unique goals. Proactively reach out and follow up with clients, asking questions to understand their financial needs and banking channel preferences. Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products, including digital offerings. Deliver a consistent optimal client experience, greeting clients and processing basic transactions. Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients. Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications. Educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to help meet their financial needs. Leverage resources and technologies to optimize the client experience ensuring operational excellence and accuracy. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three to four years of job-related retail banking experience for Client Relationship Consultant 2; or four to five years for Consultant 3; or a combination of equivalent training and experience. Preferred Skills and Experience Proven ability to build and foster relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up. Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients. Thorough knowledge of bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems. Proven customer service and interpersonal skills. Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies. Ability to identify a customer's true needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset. Basic proficiency in making recommendations that meet customer needs reactively and proactively. Experience in the financial services industry preferred. Bilingual in English and other languages encouraged. Location Expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location all workdays.
