We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate individuals who are driven to be the best at what they do and desire to be a part of something truly special.Essential Functions:Perform a variety of cleaning activities which include, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, disposing trash and making bedsEnsure all rooms are cleaned and inspected according to 5 Star standards and within deadlinesPerform turn up and turn down services for guest roomsReplenish guestroom and public area restroomsMaintain professional etiquette with all guests and employeesMust greet all guests as though you are welcoming them to your own homeMonitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areasRespond to guest requests in a timely and professional mannerMust meet Forbes Standards in all daily operations and guest interactionsCommunicate any special requests to Housekeeping supervisorResponsible for following standard operating procedures and safety regulationsMaintain a clean and organized workspace at all timesStock and maintain housekeeping cartAssist public area attendant in cleaning and maintaining the public areas as neededAssist with cleaning, folding, ironing and steaming of laundry as neededComplete all assigned projects by the Housekeeping supervisorDemonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Inn and its historyMust follow all disinfecting and sanitization policiesQualifications:Required: 6 months to 1 year of housekeeping experienceMust be able to work weekends and have a flexible work scheduleExcellent communication skillsMust be at least 16 years of ageMust be well-groomed and well-presented with no visible tattoosDesirable: Familiarity with Forbes StandardsAbility to communicate with a language other than English, preferably Spanish or FrenchPrior experience working in a 4 or 5 star luxury propertySkills:Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete tasks in a timely mannerAbility to work independently, as well as in a close team environmentAbility to use standard housekeeping equipment, which include, but not limited to, a linen cart, vacuum, mop, broom and various chemicals for cleaningAbility to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performanceStrong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to speak using clear and professional languageAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to cross-train across multiple departments and assist when neededMust always be compliant with quality assurance expectations and standardsAbility to complete assigned work in a timely mannerPhysical Demands:Must be able to lift 30+ lbsAble to stand, bend and walk for long periods of timeFrequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting and climbing**The Inn at Little Washington is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
