Full Time 30-39 Hour Charlotte, NC, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 1112 Salary Range: $17.00 To $20.50 Hourly Clinic Janitorial & Hygiene Specialist The LEEAP Center The LEEAP Center is seeking a dedicated, detail-driven, and highly dependable Clinic Janitorial & Hygiene Specialist to support the cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and overall upkeep of our pediatric therapy environments. This is not an average cleaning role . We are looking for someone who understands that clean spaces are part of quality care. The right person for this position is proactive, energetic, humble, and willing to jump in wherever needed. This role requires someone who can manage a fast-paced pediatric clinical environment with professionalism, initiative, and consistency. At The LEEAP Center, we serve children and families every day. This person should be able to move quickly, communicate clearly, manage competing priorities, and maintain high standards without needing constant direction. Bilingual abilities are a plus, but not required. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, infection control, and hygiene across The LEEAP Center clinic locations Disinfect therapy equipment, treatment rooms, shared spaces, restrooms, and high-touch areas throughout the day Complete routine cleaning duties, including vacuuming, mopping, restroom sanitation, trash removal, and weekly laundry Monitor and manage cleaning materials, hygiene products, and facility supplies Maintain cleaning supply logs and communicate supply needs in a timely and organized manner Coordinate professionally with vendors when needed to support replenishment of materials and facility needs Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify cleaning, safety, or facility concerns Report sanitation concerns, supply needs, maintenance issues, and operational trends to leadership Support staff by reinforcing proper cleaning, hygiene, and shared-space expectations Assist with developing, updating, and following safety and sanitation protocols Maintain a warm, professional, and service-minded presence in a pediatric clinic environment Meet with leadership as needed to review sanitation performance, facility needs, and process improvements Qualifications Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, organized spaces Ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, and work independently Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with children, families, and clinical staff present Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills Dependable, trustworthy, proactive, and accountable Comfortable using email, basic technology systems, and simple supply-tracking tools Ability to communicate professionally with leadership, team members, and vendors Willingness to take initiative and address needs before being asked Mission-aligned, team-oriented, compassionate, and service-minded Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required Physical & Operational Requirements Ability to lift 40–45 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and complete physically active cleaning tasks Visual attention to detail for cleaning, disinfecting, and inspection duties Must have reliable transportation Must have a valid driver’s license Must be able to work across The LEEAP Center clinic locations as needed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license Successful completion of background check and drug screening Three professional references What We Offer Growth and leadership opportunities Quarterly performance bonus eligibility Annual performance review Medical, dental, and vision benefits Employee Assistance Program Paid Time Off Why This Role Matters The LEEAP Center is a trusted space for children and families navigating developmental, behavioral, and therapeutic care.
