Medical Billing Specialist

Central Billing Office
Unity Healthcare is a comprehensive, multi-specialty healthcare provider with offices throughout North Central Indiana. We have over 20 specialties, including an award winning surgery center. We are locally owned, which allows us to make decisions in the best interest of our patients and our community.
With our 50 + experienced Healthcare Professionals, innovative technology, and wide range of services and treatment options we help each patient live his or her best life.
Responsibilities
- Works with insurance companies to perform insurance billing review and verification of accounts
- Communicates with insurance payers, patients, and offices to resolve unpaid claims
- Review monthly unpaid claims for all insurance payers
- Review EOBs with larger payer adjustments
- Follow up on payer denials
Requirements & Skills
- 2 years of billing office experience in a Healthcare Organization
- Knowledge of accounts receivable practices and billing office procedures
- Knowledge of CPT coding and Diagnosis coding
- Knowledge of government and regulatory provisions related to collection activities
- Strong PC skills, specifically Microsoft Office products
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to manage multiple projects

- Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
