Initiate/ set up dialysis treatment

Ability to cannulate AV fistula Ability to cannulate AV graft Absence of disinfectant in system Dialysate Conductivity testing Tunneled/ Non Tunneled Catheter

Work Settings

Acute Care Inpatient Dialysis * Chronic Outpatient Dialysis

Dialysis treatment

Administration of blood & blood products

Symptom management

Air emboli Cardiac Arrest/CPR Chest pain Clotted access/poor blood flow rate Disequilibrium syndrome Filter blood leak Fluid overload Hemolysis Hyperkalemia Hypotension Muscle cramps Pericarditis Pyrogenic reaction Seizures
