Outpatient Social Worker Per Diem

Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) is a growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility that provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults, and older adults. The facility offers programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The robust outpatient program utilizes a combination of group, family, and individual therapy.

Position Summary: The Outpatient Social Worker performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. This includes providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: MSW or MA in Counseling
• License: LMSW or LLMSW; LPC or LLPC
• Experience: Requires at least 1 to 3 years' experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.

Outpatient Services operate Monday - Friday and we are seeking additional per diem/contingent licensed Master-level Social Workers to assist on busy days and cover days off of others.
