Senior Associate – Boston, MA

DUTIES:

Frame research approaches and direct and manage projects in a team environment to produce written analyses used in litigation, regulatory proceedings, international arbitration, and consulting engagements. Develop statistical, econometric, and other quantitative data analysis and oversee analysis performed by Research Analysts. Draft reports that summarize and explain the results of analytical work performed, using clear and concise writing that presents technical concepts in a manner accessible to non‑economists. Responsible for project management, including keeping the client informed of new developments and responding to client requests. Responsible for overseeing the final work product for reports, client memos, proposals, presentations, data requests, interrogatories, and expert witness testimony in litigation and non‑litigation environments. Assist counsel with preparing expert witnesses for deposition and trial testimony, cross‑examination and deposition of opposing expert witnesses, and drafting of post‑trial briefs. Participate in and lead business development activities including drafting business development materials, drafting proposals and budgets, speaking at conferences, and publishing in professional and trade journals. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field and 4 years of experience consulting on financial, regulatory and/or economic concepts. OR Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field and 7 years of experience consulting on financial, regulatory and/or economic concepts. Qualified candidate must possess any amount of experience with or demonstrated knowledge of: Quantitative analytics. Analytical/statistical software including STATA, R, SQL and Excel. Complex financial and/or economic related concepts. Knowledge may be demonstrated through education, training and/or experience. Telework: Position may be authorized to work at any Brattle Group office within the US or for full or part time telework. Travel: Up to 10% domestic travel required.
