Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse opportunity in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves providing high-quality patient care within a 19-bed unit, primarily during night shifts. Candidates with charge nurse experience and competency in neurological patient care are preferred for this position.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); previous charge nurse experience; candidates with at least 1 year of relevant experience; Texas state licensure or license eligibility; location in or willingness to work in Fort Worth, Texas
• Preferred Qualifications: Neuro competency, familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system, experience working in a Progressive Care Unit or comparable setting
• Additional Information: The unit staffing includes one charge nurse and five nurses (Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse), along with two Patient Care Technicians. The unit operates with typical patient ratios of 4-5:1 and adheres to unit-specific policies. The dress code is Royal Blue scrubs for nurses and Maroon for patient care technicians. Rotation includes weekends and on-call shifts.
