Reporting to the Associate Director of Training, this person will work closely with his/her training peers as well as our global trainers to jointly develop training related to disease, product, sales effectiveness, market knowledge, and operations training intended for members of the Commercial organization.Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:Maintaining subject matter expertise for disease states, products and therapeutic areasDeveloping and executing training programs and initiatives with minimal guidanceDesigning and enhancing current curriculum to meet needs of the Commercial organizationCoordinating with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Medical and Regulatory to ensure accuracy of medical content and compliance with promotional policies for training materialsManaging vendors when developing training content and executing contract requirementsPerforming project management function during the development of training contentLeading training meetings to include planning, logistics management, vendor monitoring, and participant conductPartnering with Marketing, Precision Medicine, and Commercial Leadership to develop training that meets brand objectives and coordinate the rollout of training materials for field colleaguesInfluencing and leading without authority by collaborating with cross functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Market Access, etc) to provide highly effective, timely, innovative and relevant training solutionsCollaborating with external partners to help provide best-in-class training deliverablesCollaborating with our partner company colleagues to ensure there is alignment of training strategy and tacticsBuilds trust and credibility with Business Partners through regular interaction and is evidenced by feedback and proven working partnerships (adheres to AbbVie Ways of Working pillars)Acting as a resource for field sales through active participation in all sales meetings and routine field rides.Designing and leading the execution of training work sessions at National Sales and POA MeetingsDeveloping and maintaining facilitation skills expertise in support of training content deliveryContinually assess the organization's training needs for both clinical fluency and development competencies and provide appropriate feedback for innovationRequires minimum of a bachelor's degree5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience preferredTraining, Marketing or Sales experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferredKnowledge of Medical Oncology disease and Gynecologic oncology areas preferredExperience developing training tools to enable the enhancement of clinical acumen is a plusKnowledge of adult learning principles, training design concepts, and platforms is a plusExceptional ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at different levels of the organizationHigh level of professionalism and the ability to excel in a complex cross-functional environment supporting collaborative project planningAbility to work in an unstructured environmentObtains strategic insight to appropriately dedicate time to important initiativesExceptional oral presentation and executive leadership communication skillsExcellent learning, problem solving and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and multi-tasking skillsAbility to self-motivate and perform effectively with minimal supervisionFamiliarity with AI and innovative technology platforms (iPAD) and programs (e.g. MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerAutomate) is highly desirableThis is a headquarter based position with preferred location at ABV1, open to remote position with 50% required travel to headquarters.Applicable only to applicants applying to a position in any location with pay disclosure requirements under state orlocal law:The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position.
