Our client is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a low-volume emergency department. This is a single-provider coverage model with no Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) support, making the position ideal for physicians who are comfortable practicing independently in a community emergency department.

The facility averages approximately 13 patients per day and has a 10-bed Emergency Department , offering a manageable patient volume while requiring broad emergency medicine experience.

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Physicians must be available to work a minimum of three (3) shifts per month

• Start Date: December 1, 2026
• End Date: February 28, 2027
• Coverage needed due to staffing requirements

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) required
• Active South Carolina medical license required at the time of submission
• Minimum post-residency experience required; new graduates will not be considered
• Clean malpractice history with no malpractice claims or significant red flags
• Providers must not reside within 100 miles of the facility
• Must be comfortable working independently without APP support

• Temporary privileges are available, allowing for an expedited credentialing process.
• Due to temporary privileges, candidates with malpractice history will not be considered.
