Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Providing high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment, the ER RN will respond to critical situations, perform assessments, and deliver essential interventions. This role requires adaptability, clinical expertise, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions promptly and accurately to determine priority of care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and department protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, respond to changes, and document findings thoroughly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with all licensure, certification, and hospital safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess 18 months of recent ER experience, preferably within a single facility or combined healthcare settings.
• Hold a valid Ohio license or valid compact license at the time of submission.
• Have current AHA or American Red Cross certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC preferred.
• Demonstrate successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores.
• Be willing to work at least every other holiday and night shifts (7:00 pm - 7:30 am).
• Exhibit strong communication skills and ability to manage high-pressure situations.
