Oncology NursePerforms chemotherapy and infusion administration, physician assistance, information gathering, sample collection, patient education, patient follow-up, supply maintenance, and consultation.Minimum Qualifications:ADNWorking knowledge of oncology servicesExcellent communication skillsBLSOne of the following:Current Alabama RN licenseCurrent Multi State RN license in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama**Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of AlabamaChemotherapy and Biotherapy provider card (ONS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire or placement into positionOncology Nursing Certification (OCN) must be obtained within 24 months of hire or placement into positionACLS certification may be required in designated areas as determined by administrationDesired Qualifications:BSN/MS degree in Nursing1 year of experience in infusion and/or chemotherapyACLS/PALS/NRP certification is encouraged as appropriate to patient population
