Admitting Representative

Job Summary The Admitting Representative ensures timely and accurate registration of all patients, is responsible for insurance benefit verification/certification, and collects the patient's anticipated financial responsibility at the time of service as applicable. The role exemplifies excellent customer service at all times. Responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely patient registration. Verify and certify insurance benefits. Collect patient financial responsibility at time of service. Maintain excellent customer service standards. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (HSD or GED). Associate’s degree in a healthcare related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of related experience in health insurance or 2 years of hospital registration experience. Direct experience with hospital precertification and benefit/eligibility verification desired. Excellent customer service skills, effective interpersonal and oral communication skills. Strong organizational and prioritization abilities; detail oriented. Employment Details ECB status – requires a minimum number of worked hours per month as needed by the department; limited benefit offerings. Monday‑Friday 7am‑6pm.
