A full-time opportunity is available for a Compounding Pharmacist in Bakersfield, CA, with an assignment through July 2026 and potential for permanent placement. This role focuses on overseeing both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes in a pharmacy setting, ensuring high-quality medication preparation and patient safety.


Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding to maintain strict quality standards
• Perform final verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy and safety
• Fill, label, and prepackage medications efficiently and accurately
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers for order clarifications, refills, and new prescriptions
• Counsel patients and address their medication-related questions
• Ensure compliance with USP 795, 797, 800 guidelines and state Board of Pharmacy regulations

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM
• Full-time through July 2026

Qualifications:

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree
• Active California Pharmacist license
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, with preference for compounding background
• Strong communication and organizational skills to manage workflow and patient interactions
